Wayne was a hoot. You never knew what he's was going to say. The first time I met him was at Sam's jam in Greenville, and the first thing he did was give me a hard time for using a 2 wheel dolly to haul my equipment in. We hit it off from that. We setup beside each other and just had a ball that day. I sure miss him. Looking forward to next Saturday.

Church Hill, TN tracks only jam January 15, 2015

Post by George Kimery »

I am planning on being there, so the numbers are slowly adding up. I am going to let Leo Gassi know in case he has not been reading the forum.

I also knew Wayne. He and I really hit it off. We had talked about visiting each other. He had a relative that lived near me. His cancer got him first, unfortunately. Like Tony, the first time I met him was at the Greeneville jam. The last time was near Kingsport at the Weber City, VA jam. Like everybody else, I miss him. He left us at much too early of an age.

Post by Pete Taylor »

Another good jam ! Most rewarding to see Mike out playing and sounding great! Had a cousin to come listen for the first time and he and his wife really enjoyed every ones playing. He told me before he left we should be thankful for the fellowship we steelers share. I told him We are!!! Thanks guys.
