On my computer the Forum seems to always be running ?
I am not sure how to word this, and it may be normal, but I have observed that when I go into the forum, whether I am logged in or out, the little green circle next to the STeel Guitar Forum tab on the left side of my screen, continues to go in a circle. Is this okay, or am I tying up the forum in some way, or does my computer have a bug or something. This is the only web site I have observed this. It doesnt affect my response time, I can do everything on the forum as normal, it just seems odd to me. Thanks for any advise or help.

I think it's from the Google Adwords ad at the bottom of the page.

Yes, it is probably the AdSense JavaScript trying to load. Anytime a web page includes a script or file from an outside website, it becomes dependent on that external source's ability to deliver the content. If there is any congestion along the Content Delivery Network, the script may take a long to to load, even forever. Often, hitting the refresh button will fix the problem.
If it is any consolation, the same thing happens on my websites, now and then.
Further, if you tell your browser to not allow cookies, or tell websites anything about your browser or browsing habits, the ad scripts may search for a longer time to deliver what they deem to be the best ad to an untargeted recipient.
These ads help offset the ongoing costs of hosting and maintaining a website.

You can create a whitelist for cookies and those will never be deleted during cleaning.

You should first do whatever you can to find out if you really do have a virus, and if so, its name and file location. The paid version of AVG will not find more threats than the freeware version. But it is updated much more often and offers other protections.
Trend Micro is a more industrial strength security program. It doesn't just block viruses, but spyware, Trojans, PUPs, some exploits, dangerous web pages and scripted redirects to exploit kits in advertising banners hosted by criminals.
Since AVG and Trend House call both found nothing, what are the symptoms you noticed?
I use Trend Micro and have for years.

I'm not hear to tell you which security programs to use. I just took a look at my Trend Micro page and am embarrassed to say I forgot to update it to 2015 specs. I'll get back with you later tonight. Gotta leave work.

I use the paid version of MBAM and Trend Micro Internet Security (2015). Trend Micro actually blocks most of the bad web pages and downloaded files.

James;
I spent a couple hours last night updating the details on my Trend Micro page. There are links there now to download a free 15 day trial of most of their home security programs.
