In Chrome, bo to the "three hashmarks" icon just below the "X" and you should be able to find them

What I need is a file , if there is one, where the links are stored. When I upgrade to Win 7, the hard drive I have chrome installed on will be removed from the computer once I finish the upgrade. I have lots of bookmarks, and would hate to lose them when I re-install Chrome.

As long as you have a Gmail/Google account and have allowed syncing, your bookmarks will show up once you log in to Google on your new computer. When I visited my brother and used his computer, as soon as I logged in to Google, all of my bookmarks were there. Likewise, new ones I added there showed up on my home computer when I got home.Richard Sinkler wrote:What I need is a file , if there is one, where the links are stored. I found my Chrome bookmarks in a file named "Bookmarks" under this path: C:\Users\(me)\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data
Substitue your own logged in Windows name for (me).
The Bookmarks file is a plain text file and can be opened in Notepad, Notetab Pro, or Notepad++, or any ASCII text editor.
