Great looking steels Dale.

I'm curious as to what pickup your using on the E9 neck of your Mullen.

Chris, I'd like to know too...I'm not sure, in fact a while ago I posted close up pictures of it in hopes that someone here could identify it for me...Someone thought it was a George L that someone had sanded the surface off of and put pinstriping around the perimeter...so your guess is as good as mine...whatever it is it is one sweet sounding PU...If it helps, the one on the bottom neck appears to be an original 705?, and it's quite a bit hotter then the one on top.

Marco, thank-you...I bought her custom made brand new, I believe in 1977, + a year or two maybe...originally I had ordered it green, and then changed my mind and they were able to change it to blue...it's faded a little, and except for a few bar drop dings, still a very pretty good sounding guitar.

My latest...Originally owned and bought new in 1990 by Jim Lindsey and Mickey Adams main squeez the last 3+ years...What a great old guitar...She’s an 8x9 with Quad 705’s PUP’s and was inspired by Gary Hogue’s 1986 Mullen.

Marco, your green JCH is awesome! I met Jimmy C when I lived in Nashville in the 80s. Went out to his house one day. Very hospitable.

And I hope you are doing fine too!

Here's one that I owned for many years and got many miles out it and it put money in my pocket. I sold it and now after 30 years it found it's way back. It's a Domland , made by Willy Domland for Don Edwards who was the sole distributor.I bought it from Don's store in Denver as the first owner. You thought the old MSA's were heavy? Well this baby makes them feel like a light weight. I understand that there was only eight of this particular model ever made. It is a rarity. A good guitar for it's time. Very rugged and dependable (and heavy) It carries the "Edwards" name. since he was the only source for Willy"s work.

After looking at this thread tonight that started in 2007, I wonder how many people still own the same guitars. :D
