Andrew, once the old paper is removed the new EPS will fit on the studs. You will need to push down firmly on one side of the speaker's frame to get a nut started as the foam gasket is firm but will compress. Then do the same on another side of speaker. Eventually all of the nuts will bite and tighten down. Just takes a little force to press the speaker down enough to compress that foam gasket.

another plug for EPS-12C
I sold my NV112 before I discovered the EPS-12C. But I have a Special 112 instead, and it sounds great there too, 160 watts into 4 ohms. And when I take a line out from my tube amp into the 112 power amp I've got all the sound I'll ever need.

Well with a new 12c speaker, reverb can and the Ken Fox chips (where you can) this should be the best sounding little amp going. For about $250 in upgrades you have a killer amp.

You are going to now see a LOT less Nashville 112's for sale on the Forum once players start installing the new Eminence EPS-12C. Superior R&D sound engineering at Eminence. Copied but not equaled. They've got former JBL guys on their staff. By the way, Dan Dugmore has also been recording with the Eminence EPS series steel speakers for the last 3 years. There's a reason.

Thanks Tommy! I've got a pretty little Tweed NV112 and I've really liked this thing ever since I got it. As far as I know there is no mods but I like the idea of a beefier reverb tank. I've got one of the Emminence speakers in my LTD and I do like it better especially when I have to carry it. I've got to try that reverb tank first and then we'll see about the speaker.

FWIW, I got a prompt and friendly response from a tech rep at Eminence when I asked about mounting the Eminence EPS-12c in my Peavey Nashville 112. Here's what he wrote:
"You can remove all of the rear gasket, if you are rear loading the speaker.
"Best Regards,

This is great customer service from Eminence, and I think they deserve our support.
With the EPS-12c (broken in for 10 hours so far), the upgraded reverb and the Ken Fox chip mod, this is a whole new--and vastly better-sounding--amp. Before these changes, I really didn't like the way the Peavey Nashville 112 sounded...except as a headphone amp. Now, I think my Peavey Nashville 112 sounds fine, fine, fine.
Big thanks to Kevin Hatton, who seemed to have shipped the Eminence speaker to me even before the ink was dry on the check I wrote him. Kevin is a great guy to work with.
And big, big thanks to the great Tommy White for sharing his expertise, advice and wisdom with us!

Got mine installed in the NV112 and after five hours of break in it really sounds nice. I do have one strange thing going on though. When I strum only the low C string (C6th tuning) there is a "buzz" on the tone coming from the speaker if I have the bass turned over 6. Maybe not a buzz but similar to a rapid tapping on the cone. Interestingly enough, if I tip the amp back about 15-20 degrees it goes away. I noticed the same thing when I was running the iPod to break it in. This strange artifact showed up whenever I cranked the bass. Could there be something loose in there that has a really low resonant frequency? Ideas?

I can't speak to the EPC-12C issue, but I did put a Telonics Neo 12-4 in my Nashville 112 and it made a humongous difference to the plus side. Smooth and silky like a JBL.
I was working side-by-side with Rick McRae (guitarist for George Strait) and he kept bugging me about the midrange honk from the 112. I put in the Telonics and his comment was "you got a new amp! Cool!"
My friend Rose lifted the 112 and said "whoa! How come your amp is so much lighter than mine?" The Neo was the answer.
Eminence or Telonics, either I'm sure will improve the NV112 drastically.
Now I'm playing a Telonics TC-500 with the Neo 15". You can't set the bass level on that amp like the level on the NV112. You'll rupture eardrums.

My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

?????
I took the stock NV112 speaker out, have the EPS-12C installed, but can't determine which wire goes where on the new speaker. I'm left with a blue and white wire. Sorry if I appear stupid, but I'm not an electrician, so any help would be most appreciated.
