YouTube to MP3 converter
Anyone recommend software for converting YouTube sounds to MP3?
Apologies if this has been asked before - I did a quick search but couldn't find any endorsement from Forumites....

I use "Youtube MP3 Podcaster" - which is an Add-on for Firefox.

Thanks guys. Tried Tonu's recommendation - managed to copy URLs but failed completely to then convert to I Tunes. I do find the whole I Tunes web site really difficult to navigate and have given up in frustration. Will try again tomorrow when frustration levels have returned to normal!

Did you read my recommendation? If you use Firefox, install this Add-on and it will offer to download and save videos in several formats, including MP3, MP4, FLV and more.

Hi Wiz - no, I don't use Firefox. The software I tried seemed to work well - my problem is trying to understand Apple and how confusing they make it to use anything that isn't an Apple product/Apple approved.

You didn't mention that your computer/device was an Apple product. I wouldn't have mentioned Firefox and the converter add-on if I had known that.Alan Bidmade wrote:Hi Wiz - no, I don't use Firefox. Perhaps that was my mistake - buying an Apple product (I Pod) whilst using Windows laptop (althoughI did eventually manage to transfer all my Amazon MP3 files to the I Pod - it just took me a day and a half, and whatever I did seems now not to work for MP£ files converted from You Tube.

FLV Extract is a good super simple utility for this. Just drop the flv on to the icon and tell it where to put the result.
Make sure you get the one for YOUR operating system (Mac or Win etc.)
