What is the "PC Cleaner" program?

I've never heard of this type of program causing the problem you have. PC Cleaner programs are generally "snake oil" and do not really help. They can also cause more problems than they claim to fix, but not enlarge the display.

But, load Windows in "Safe Mode" by pressing F8 BEFORE Windows loads (Press it several times when booting up). Using F8 will get you a menu with several options, one will be Safe Mode (there will also be a Safe Mode with Networking but don't use this). After it loads Safe Mode, you can uninstall the program, Whether it fixes your screen size ????

Another option, while in Safe Mode is "System Restore". Depending on what the PC Cleaner program did, you may be able to use System Restore and restore the PC to an available restore date PRIOR to using the program.
System Restore can be accessed from Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools. System Restore will not delete any user data or e-mails.

What's the "pc cleaner" executable's file name? There's lots of scamware out there called that.

Glad you got it fixed.

Curious why it needs to be "partitioned". There's an issue with the existing partition?

Partitioning is not really required.

I have Windows 7 64 bit installed and it did create a "reserved" partition. Windows 8 and older Operating Systems do not do this.

I think the real heart of the problem is a msg pops up saying no driver is found for the D: drive. Then its says to search for the driver. Don't know where to look for that. Thanks, Dale.

The OS is loaded on the D: drive. I can look at the disk for the driver, but which data to choose is the fun part.

If there's a functional OS installed on D: I can't imagine any scenario in which an error "no driver" for that drive would appear.

Not saying that error isn't happening - just that something else is going on to make it happen. Doesn't make sense. IMO, the "OS" is not operational at this point - needs repair more involved than just a missing "driver" - installing the OS takes care of those details.

Every operating system I have ever used or repaired supplies generic drivers for hard disks. It matters not if you partition the entire disk as a C drive, or create 26 partitions to the letter Z.

If your operating system doesn't detect the partitioned disk and its partitions as a hard drive any more, something has corrupted the Master Boot Record and Boot Sector (Sector 0).

Causes include:
  • Bad sectors: run Chkdsk/R
  • Bad MBR: Run Chkdsk first, then, if problem persists, rewrite the MBR using repair options on W7 DVD.
  • Relocated MBR due to a MBR virus (Bootkit): Use DVD to overwrite MBR
  • Bad installation: Delete all of the partitions, then reinstall using full capacity of disk.
  • Failing hard drive. Replace it with a new disk or SSD.
