YouTube/ Google+ confusion

Post by Lane Gray »

Has anyone figured out how to link the two and still keep the youtube channel, its name, subscribers and subscriptions?
They made me do a Google "Plus" page, but it says I have neither uploads, subscribers nor subscriptions.
2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects

YouTube is forcing it's members into Google+... blocking access to our YouTube pages until we sign on to Google+. It sucks. I was forced to make the changeover last month, but I've had no problems accessing my videos. Try clicking on the icons or the tabs on the Google+ page to get back to YouYube. Your videos should still be on youTube. Maybe you chose not to link them to Google+. It's all very confusing and unnecessary. Like so many other sites, YouTube is tightening up access and taking more control over the user's pages. More bitchin' here ---> http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=255664

Choose not to link? Naah. I'm happy to. Just can't figure out HOW

There's a YouTube link in my profile on Google+ and my channel shows up just like normal. I don't remember doing anything, I guess it was automatic. I've been on YouTube for years and Google+ for a year or two.

The process for linking them is NOT transparent, easy and r user friendly. When I try to comment, I'm told I need to create a G+ page, although I have two. Bloody Vogons.

Oops. Wrong sci Fi metaphor. Google has become like a joint venture between the Borg and the Ferengi. This could have worked but they got it backwards. The Ferengi wrote the code and the Borg do the marketing.

Just went to YouTube using Safari and couldn't see or make any comments anywhere, though I'm signed in to YT and Google+. So I tried Firefox and comments show up.
