Folks, I have been waiting on my Brother to get the 40 strings on the Wright tuned up. It has been a while I know. We will get the 4 tunings done this weekend so no more waiting. Next I will need to restore the Standel Amp that Dad owned that has been sitting in a closet for over 35 years
I thought some of you might enjoy a small showing of the archives I found while cleaning out both of Mom and Dads houses. First I found some of Chuck Wright's commercial documents on His Steels in the Sierra line. also the Holy Grail of Volume Pedals for my Dads Steel had Finally Arrived, thanks to a very fine Gentleman on this Forum by the name of Todd Clinesmith.
He was very generous in selling me one of His Wright Volume tone Pedals. I know and appreciate just how hard and elusive these pedals are to get, and how hard it was for him to part with it. CUDO'S Todd. And to complete the components for this Wright, I have a very nice case coming from a gentleman named Kevin Hattan, of Hattan Cases. So I am just about finished completing this project.
I know you folks are ready to see the completion of this thread, so I can tell you it is almost here. I have had fun doing this project and have been very fortunate in receiving all of the great advice from the members of this Forum on this project, You folks are a great resource on Steel Guitars, tunings, and components just to highlight a few things.
OK The wiring is done and the only thing left is the tuning and stretching of the strings, Mostly Bronze wound in the large gauge strings, and steel in the lower gauges. The reason for the Bronze is that Dad had it this way for the Baritone sound that he really enjoyed, and it sounded rich indeed. I will need to build a steel for myself to play next. (PIC's)

Thanks to all who have contributed to this build.
You are all the best kind of friends.
