Just a few lines to say Hello and introduce myself.

My name is Paolo, I play the steel guitar in 3 bands here in France, playing (or trying to play) Hawaiian music, swing and bluegrass. I used to play mostly on a acoustic lap steel tuned in G (here is a video where I play my old National with a Parisian band, the RBO:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vBMdUrO ... nomobile=1 but I have discovered the C6 tuning thanks to this forum, and I am really interested in learning it!

I have been visiting the Steel Guitar forum for a few years and I would like to say a big "THANK YOU" to all the members and the administrators, cause I discovered a lot of great musicians (Kayton Roberts to name the latest) and learnt some really good things about the instrument here.
I hope to make a contribution to the forum in the future even if I have more to learn than to bring.

Vive la musique!
Paolo.

P.S: sorry for my mistakes in English.

Great video and playing on your part.

As for your English, it's better than many English speakers. No worries there.

Hi Paolo, welcome to the Forum! I stumbled upon your videos a few years ago and, at that time, I added links to them at my website, www.steelguitarjazz.com. Let me know if you have some more that would fit on that website.

Great playing and welcome here!

Jim

No idea how my inadvertent multi-post happened as I submitted just once. Sorry about that, though. Hope this doesn't do the same.

Hi Tom!
I have a Fender studio deluxe from 56 I think and I use a AER amp for it (it's a shame I know...)
I only played with G tuning, I just started to learn C6 a few months ago, and there is a lot of work! C#m is a good one too?
Aloha.
