Every time I listen to a song with Buddy Emmons in it that becomes my new fav. But I love Rainbows all Over your Blues, and Witchita Lineman instrumental.

Here's an early Ricky Skaggs song called I'll Take the Blame. Straight ahead playing by Buddy and Albert on one of my all time favorite country songs. Buddy was featured a lot on at least one other cut on this album. Emmylou Harris on harmony vocals.

I love the Hillbilly Child solo as well
The solo on John Hartford's Gentle on My Mind still blows my mind.
I am also another Someday Soon fanatic (actually everything Buddy plays on that album is priceless.

Like everybody else, anything that Buddy did was great.
His jazz stuff blows me away.
But the song that impressed me the most was Danny Boy on the Black album. Taught me what could be done on the E9th neck besides the usual country licks.

Jim, I think that was Paul Franklin.

Paul, Buddy and John Hughey all played on David Peterson's album, but it's definitely Buddy on "The Waltz You Saved for Me."

I'll add one more, out of hundreds of favorites:

"Please Help Me I'm Falling" from "Twang a Country Song" with Duane Eddy from 1963. There are beautiful Emmons solos on almost every track.
