Muleskinner Live in 1973

Post by Walter Stettner »

Watch this 25 minute clip from 1973 - it is amazing:

Clarence White and Peter Rowan on Guitars, Bill Keith on Banjo, Richard Greene on Fiddle, David Grisman on Mandolin and Stu Schulman on Bass.

About five months later, Clarence White was killed in that tragic parking lot accident.

Kind Regards, Walter

I remember watching that show the first time it aired on PBS. I had a friend with one of the first big screen TV's with sound going thru his stereo system.
There were about 10 of us glued to it.

Dennis, hard to remember that long ago, but I think that was the whole show. 30 min show with more like 28 minutes of actual playing time.
The record they made is still one of my all time favorites and featured Clarence playing B-Bender on a few cuts as well as Bill Keith on pedal steel on a couple. They even used drums on a couple of cuts. Oh the humanity!!!

Here's one where Clarence played electric. With a little steel added by Bill Keith:
