Don't PF and TW kind of trade-off playing with Vince depending on each other's schedules? Perfectly understandable, and don't worry - no matter which one you get, you will not be disappointed!

It really is a shame that Vince can't find a good steel player.

I saw Paul playing with Vince on the public TV show "Bluegrass Underground" a couple of weeks ago...WOW! Paul was amazing and Vince never sounded better...The same show had an airing of THE TIME JUMPERS with Vince and Paul as part of that band...DOUBLE WOW!

Just got back from the Vince concert in Fort Pierce, FL at the Sunrise Theater. Great venue and a full house at 1200 folks. I believe they're off to Lakeland, FL Friday night and Sarasota, FL on Saturday. Tommy was on steel, Stuart Duncan on fiddle, Dawn Sears and the gang. Other than a few production glitches (mostly FOH mix) this was a great show. Steel could of been hotter in the mix, of course! Vince played his hynie off and told some great stories and anecdotes; a truly entertaining evening. Too bad the tickets were so spendy!

Vince and Tommy,great show

I realized two things tonite while watching this great show. The Pope is never coming to Okeechobee and I am never going to get to play steel for Vince Gill.

There may be a chance

Post by Jerry Tillman »

After giving it a little thought there might be a small chance after all.If the Pope was flying over Florida and his plane had some engine trouble they could land in Okeechobee. The runway is an old WW2 leftover and is bigger than usual.Still no chance on the Vince Gill gig.By the way Tommys Sho Pro sounded great last nite.Jerry

If these were weekend shows, and Tommy was playing, is he not the staff player on the Opry any more?

Yes, Tommy is still the Opry's staff steel player, but he does shows with Vince whenever Paul is doin' sessions.
