hey Joe,
Thanks for your youtube channel, I can't tell you how instrumental it was in putting the spur in my side to finally go and get the steel. Also, what kind of finger picks are you using these days? Appreciate it!

thanks for the kind words well you may laugh at this but I dont really know what kind they are I just went though a box of picks till I found something that felt ok then took about a week or so to get them bent just right for me. never let anyone use your picks lol once you get them to fit you they will stay on better and if someone fools with them then you will have to start all over again.

I totally understand. I've had the same Dunlop fingerpicks for about 8 years, but I had them shaped for lap steel. The Pedal steel is a different animal, and though the picks are ok, they are a bit over bent now and the edges have lost something, which is a little more noticable on E9 strings. Need a new pair.
Are you still offering Skype instructionals?-Thanks , Joe.

Welcome Back

Post by Mike Moffitt »

Welcome back Joe,
I have watched and learned a lot from your you tube videos, and thank you for all the help.
I was wondering if you might give the Honky Tonk Angels-Wild Side Of Life by Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter a try,I just can't seem to figure out what Mooney is doing on the intro.
The turn around and modulation is just a repeat of the intro, with a change down 2 frets, but the intro itself is really bugging me,,lol
Thanks in advance if you can get that one for me,great job on all your others.
