Congratulations Bob
Bob,
Congratulations on the well deserved recognition. The forum has been a huge help to me. I spend some time on it almost everyday and always learn something from it. I did know about you time with Broderbund and will use this space to thank you for that also. My two daughters childhood would have had a good size hole in it if it hadn't been for Print Shop! That one program almost single-handedly kept them on the computer and learning.
Thank You and Congratulations again

Thank you
Great article b0b. Thank you so much for your work putting this site together. I picked up the steel briefly in 1980 and gave up about a year later. I recently decided to try again and found the Forum. I sure wish there was something like this 30 years ago!
By the way, I had the pleasure of living in Santa Rosa for a couple years in the mid 80's rebuilding the cable tv systems in the area. Wished I could have stayed but I do have a built in wine cooler now

Article's like this one on b0b raise the profile of steel guitar no end. It would be nice to see if any other forummites have had a similar experience with the press that b0b has had.
Agree too about the photo b0b - pleased to see that you and I share the same hairline.

That's excellent publicity for all the right reasons - something for b0b to be genuinely and immensely proud of as founder, and also a growing source of pride for all the members who selflessly contribute their knowledge, experience and skill.
The steel guitar is a hard mistress. She will obsess you, bemuse and bewitch you. She will dash your hopes on what seems to be whim, only to tease you into renewing the relationship once more so she can do it to you all over again...and yet, if you somehow manage to touch her in that certain magic way, she will yield up a sound which has so much soul, raw emotion and heartfelt depth to it that she will pierce you to the very core of your being.
