EP Booster

Anyone using an Xotic EP Booster for steel besides AJ Ghent. Lots of guitar players are raving about them.

I just got one and so far, I really like it when I need a level boost for a solo on a loud song.
To write with a broken pencil is pointless.

At this point I only play six string jazz guitar, but the EP Booster is one of my "always on" pedals. A friend of mine plays a wonderful '60's gibson L5 through a blackface deluxe reverb (and you can imagine how terrific that sounds), but he demo'd the EP Booster for me with that rig and it just added a new depth. There is a small switch inside that can be engaged to provide a bit of a volume boost during solos (as Tom mentions), or it can be neutral from a volume standpoint. I hadn't thought about using it for steel, but can't see why it wouldn't similarly enhance your tone. Best $115 I've spent on a pedal, but again I only play six string at present.

AND it takes up so little real estate on my pedalboard.
