The ukulete is back
I just saw on TV. that the ukulete Is becoming a big thing.People are taking it up . Now what about our Hawaiian Guitar? From now on when people ask me what is that thing I'm playing I'm going to reply a Hawaiian Guitar not a Pedal Steel Guitar. So start playing," Hawaiian War Chant" :)We are back
I think I'm going to break out some of the old 78 rpm records and start working on them. Maybe the BIg E. will start calling it a Hawaiian Guitar with pedals.

I think it is the same instrument that you once called a "henway."

The ukulete is often used to accompany a petal steel guitar.

You're a good sport Joe and a treasure around here with your uplifting attitude.
About the uke, yeah it was gaining popularity around for a while. I see and hear it on a lot of things. Not much in the style of the old Hawaiian stuff though, at least in the things I hear.
For my part, I can take it or leave it in the current music context.
Cheers, JO.

The UKULETE revealed!
To the unschooled or uneducated, Ukulete may appear to be just a misspelling of "Ukulele". It is, however, a completely separate and unique instrument; in that is is always blue, and is also always equipped with a heavy-duty strap to prevent the instrument from becoming airborn when played with profound force and expression.
Below is a video clip of one of the acknowledged world masters of this both strange and wonderful instrument performing a grandiose composition the likes of which you may never see again in our lifetimes. I would imagine ALL great musicians will be suitably humbled and astounded by his virtuosity.
