He Stopped Lovin Her Today Steel Solo

Post by Roy Thomson »

Famous song I recorded this afternoon and incorporates some sweeps and shakes in the Pete Drake
mode which fit so well.
My tuning is the standard 6 string C6th with E high
and C low.
It has a little surprise in there also.
Hope you find a little entertainment here and please
have a look at my ClicTab Site when you get a chance.
Many thanks

Roy, gotta say, that was super good. Great playing and tone.
I like your touch of George in it too. It does add a bit to it. :)

Thank you to everyone! I appreciate your support and comments.
I am continuing my experimenting/perfecting the pedal steel feel on a 6 string C6 lap steel. It is an exciting venture.
I have put together about 10 short exercises, three songs all tabbed with MP3 matches to help people learn the techniques to play this way.

Please feel free to email me for information either
via Forum private message or go to my ClicTab Site as noted below and get my address there for a direct email message.

I've got the Tab, MP3's, the works so contact me
and you can get started right away.

Thank you Frank..
I believe more STEEL players should arrange the Big Hits as instrumentals.
All the best to you and thanks for coming on. :)
