49 West, located in Annapolis, MD, is a very intimate listening lounge sporting all sorts of live music. PIC'd below is a swing band I work with, known as String Theory. Way too much fun with these folks...

Here's a couple of pics about 35 years apart.
Road Apple circa 1975. Me, the skinny, shaggy dude on the far right.

Country Dave and the Pickin' Crew May 2011 at The Triple Door in Seattle. Paul Anastasio on fiddle, Neal Brown on Strat, my son Jesse Harmonson on bass,(looks a bit like the skinny, shaggy dude in the 1st pic) and Bill Shaw drums.

Maybe some day i can get a friend here to post some pictures
I don't have a camera or know how to post pictures. I have noticed there are not many band pictures of Wynn Stewart or maybe i missed them. I worked for
hin in the early 60s shortly after Moon left. We played in San Francisco
for a month or so as i recall. I have some pictures taken there on and off the band stand and do not recall who took them. Later played with him in Az. Don't recall the towns as i have slept since then.
I also have pictures taken in Germany when i was playing steel and fiddle for Charlie Walker. Charlie would take my fiddle and play on the shows also and have pictures of him doing that too. I would play his rhythm guitar.
Also have pictures taken in Germany with Red Sovine.
I also have pictures taken on and off the band stand with the one who did A Tombstone every mile and for the life of me i can't think of his name. I did many shows with him also. Lordy can't believe i can't think of his name. Can some one help me here? Tracy

One of two bands I work with, this is "Yellow Rock Road" at a gig recently (a birthday for an 18-year old with Downs Syndrome). Everyone had a ball and we got a lot of very favourable comments on not sounding like other bands. We are nominally a 7-piece band, but mostly it is four instruments playing with a vocalist and someone on harmony vocal if required. As steel-player I get to sit out a lot of stuff because I am simply not required.

The steel guitar is a hard mistress. She will obsess you, bemuse and bewitch you. She will dash your hopes on what seems to be whim, only to tease you into renewing the relationship once more so she can do it to you all over again...and yet, if you somehow manage to touch her in that certain magic way, she will yield up a sound which has so much soul, raw emotion and heartfelt depth to it that she will pierce you to the very core of your being.

Mid Michigan's Squirreltooth Annie, reunited after 35 years. We played regular gigs in the Lansing area from 1972-76. I'm the youngest, I joined them at age 18 when I was a freshman at MSU. I've always wondered if I hold the record for being the only student with a Sho-Bud Professional in their dorm room. Anyway, we're back together though I live 90 minutes away. It's worth the drive, the magic is back!
