Russ Hicks HOF!!!
I played next to Russ and Tommy Dodd I think it was Dallas Show last year. I didn't know either, but I thought "they are really nice guys, and play pretty good too". Who knew?
Where else but steel guitar can you get this close to the elite in the business. Most are so humble and down to earth.
Then there's Bobbe...my great friend. He's a whole different story!!! LOL.

Congratulations on your induction into the Hall of Fame. I have fond memories of you sitting playing my new Zum in in the back room at the Benton Illinois show in 2007 and you tweaking a few adjustments. I'm sitting here right now listening to you and Laney on her affairs of the heart CD

Russ,
You really went and did it this time!
Well, like all the others here, I am so glad for you! You deserve and all that pickin' paid off!
You know your one of my favorite steel players! Hey! Also I just caught up with the rest of the steel world and found out about your new line of Steel Guitars. They look great! I'd like to try one out.

Many Congratulations Russ Hicks.
As someone said, it's about time!
Russ Hicks has always been a favourite player of mine.
It was a great night at Pearls back in March and I am looking forward to seeing him again next month in Ireland at the Irish Steel Guitar Festival. If no one has been to that yet, come along, I have always said it's like a mini Dallas..
Well done Russ...
David.
