Wet Reverb

Post by Bill Moran »

I know a lot of you guys, steel and tele players, are still on the fence on buying one of these. If you are unhappy with your reverb , buy a wet reverb !
I have said this before " It makes a Peavey sound good " !!
I have a Music Man RD100 that sounds so good I didn't care that the reverb was weak. Put a Wet Reverb in front and you think you have a 65 Twin Reverb !
Hope this helps the guys on the fence. I would like to hear replys from the owners !

Wet Reverb

Post by George Macdonald »

Bill, A few days ago when I was in our local music store, one of the sales guys told me a customer brought in his own guitar and "Wet" reverb to try out an amp. He, [the sales guy], absolutely raved about the sound of the Wet reverb. He said it was the best reverb he has ever heard and he has been around for a long time. So, I ordered one. Should have it next week. I'll let you know what I think. George

I've heard of these and checked out their web site. Seems like this is the same company that has licensed their technology to Belton for their digital reverb module. Sounds great in the demo's!

Wet reverb

Post by George Macdonald »

My Wet reverb pedal arrived today, and I am very pleased with it. The beauty of the pedal is in it's simplicity, [just mix and depth controls], quality of sound, and it's compact size. I have 3 other reverb pedals, but the Wet reverb is the one that will get all the use from now on.

Bill do you get any white noise at all from this unit? What type of wall wart do you use for this product? rating wise. Is it electroniclly switched? if you run out of juice, can you still play straight through it? Thanks George

I'd have to say that the Wet Reverb is the single best gear purchase I've ever made. The controls are simple, but it would be nice to have hash marks, sometimes it's difficult to find that sweet spot, once you move the knobs.
Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe.

I've used mine on the bandstand for over a year now and I love it. I have one complaint, however. I have it powered on my pedalboard with a VooDoo unit and the power cables seem to fall out of the power jack on the side of the Wet pedal easily. I wish it was a tighter fit. When I lose power, the signal chain is broken.
To write with a broken pencil is pointless.

My unit is quiet. I have a Boss power supply that I use . If you loose power to the unit all signal stops there.
The company tells you that it can be used in the efx. loop on the amp as well as in line. I'm using a Fender tube amp most of the time and no loop. Might try it sometime with my SK or Evans. :)

LOL  Gary I can put the Wet Reverb in my shirt pocket or stool. No extra case's needed. You might not like the tube reverb sound . If not you won't like this. It is sweet and clean to my ear and better than my Lexicon !!

+1 on this amazing pedal. I have it next to me at arm's reach so I can tweak it during the songs. You can get a really cool infinite sustain with it, and it sounds great no matter how you set it.

This is how I have it set-up with my Stringmaster, on the right hand side close to the output jack:

Peewee, Would your stage name be Charlie Chase ? If not you look a lot alike ! LOL
I guess I have owned most every reverb on the market in the past. Finally someone came up with a great sounding simple to operate unit. I look for this to become the standard like the DD3 has for delay.

Ron, I had a MPX1 and now have a MX300 that I moved over to the PA system. I pulled a Yamaha Rev 500 out of the PA. They are all good units but this little Wet Rev. is awesome.
