Bobbe's Tips

Post by Wally Taylor »

I don't know about you guys, but I am certainly enjoying Bobbe's Tip concerning the history and stories of the early steel years and of the players and builders that all contributed to the development of the steel. A big thanks to Bobbe for taking time present this to us. :D

I thought they were great too, but then they stopped. Guess I fell off Bobbe's distribution list. Have to see if I can get back on.

I get his info just like clock work, and do enjoy it, especially the "good old days" stories about life on the road. I truly appreciate Bobbe's time he puts into it and with "obvious" caring about fellow musicians.

I also was dropped from Bobbe's list. I called and they said they put me back on..but I still could not receive them. I called my service provider(roadrunner) and they said the problem was in Bobbe's server... they gave me an address for Bobbe to send them a newsletter so they could pinpoint the problem. Bobbe's staff (whom I corresponded with several times on this matter) said they could not send roadrunner a newsletter since the new server was programed to send all (30,000) letters out at the same time.

I contacted a steeler friend of mine who has a different service provider. He still gets the newsletter and every Monday and Thursday he forwards it to me. It's not a perfect solution, but at least I still receive (and enjoy) Bobbe's Tips.

They laughed when I sat down to play, cause' somebody pulled my chair away...

Bobbe's tips

Post by Alan Harrison »

I just wish I had printed off all of the "tips" Bobbe has published since he started. There is so much history of the Steel Guitars and Players that should never be lost. I have very high regard for his knowledge and his friendship.

It is easy to play the steel guitar. Playing so that the audience finds it pleasing is the difficult act.

If you're not getting Bobbe's Tips newsletter

Post by Bobbe Seymour »

If you're having problems getting my newsletter, please let me know so I can have my computer guy work on getting you back. We get blocked all the time for the word steel. Apparently it's used by a lot of male enhancement products in their spam. We have ways of getting around it but you have to let me know when you don't get the newsletter.

We never delete anyone from the list unless requested to, so nobody has simply fallen off the list.

Just let me know.

My only problem with Bobbe's newsletters lately, is that he's doing more proofreading, and I can no longer tease him about typos!

Hi guys

There is two things that you need to do

1st: Is to resubmit to Bobbe's Tips on his web site.

2nd: Is to put this in you Email Address Book.
Name: Bobbes Tips
Email Address: bobbesey@web8.thehostingnet.com

If this dose not work. You might try a diffrent email address, if you have one.(hotmail or gmail)

Larry and I came up with this and it worked
(Larry is Bobbe's computer guy)
