8th Annual Canadian Steel Guitar Show 2011

The show will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Kurt Browning Complex in Caroline, AB Canada.

Players Subject To Change Without Notice.
Tickets to the show (in advance) are $25.00 each. A concession will be available throughout the event! 3pm start.

Smokey Fennell (Edmonton, AB), Doug Aman (Calgary, AB), Rob Anderson (Edmonton, AB), Bob Blair (Edmonton, AB), Al Brisco (Toronto, ON), Jeff & Gerry Bradshaw (Leslieville, AB), Jim Loessberg (Round Rock, TX), Kayton Roberts (Nashville TN)

Also this year we are hosting a Classic Country Dance/Jam the evening of Saturday June 25 in the same room as the show...lots of great country music..Mel Wilson & Gerry Bradshaw are the point men on this event.

I have a Tele plus telecaster, Larrivee acoustic. Also have a Fender resonator guitar with new Quarterman cone and spider, and an Allan tailpiece .Playing through a Fender Super Champ XD, using a little delay on the amp and a Harmonix Holy Grail Echo pedal, set on Hall turned to about 1pm.Just Bought a Yamaha FGX5 Recently and love it. Recently got a Sho-NUFF 6 string pedal steel in open G.Still learning.Just bought back my old SX lap steel that i modified, in open G

Thanks for the quick reply,I assume this is for all steel players??I am a singer songwriter and one man band performer as well.I am pretty new to the lap 8 string C6,but having fun,jammin with others.I like classic country..

To clarify how to get to Caroline, Alberta for Jeff's show in June, please refer to the following map & directions, which start at the Calgary International Airport. Please note there are a few slightly different routes you could follow - this is probably the easiest to follow but may take 5 - 10 min. longer than other routes.

Having been so lucky as to see Jim Loessburg play last Jan. in Phoenix.... let me tell you folks, this guy is a real treat to your eyes and ears!

Wow, this sounds like a really great time!!! Wish I could be there!

Featuring John Lacey, Evan Ehgoetz, Don Helms, Chris Ledrew, Jeff Bradshaw, Luc Desharnais, Doug Aman & Doug Jernigan. This is one of the last shows played by Don Helms so you’re going to want to hear this special broadcast.

Doug Sorensen and I are planning on attending. Also, Jeff has given the go ahead to have an informal jam in his music shop on Sat afternoon. I am planning to bring 300 tracks to play along with.
