Style Change

Post by Sonny Jenkins »

In my "Style Favorites, I have a style called C_W_Sty2 (I think that's the name, not at BIAB now), not sure where I got it, if it was in the original package or ?? Anyway, it's a pretty good (common) country style that I like so I change some of my tracks to that style, save as, etc. When I play some other tracks, then come back to that one, I get a message in the upper right corner that says something to the effect that that style can not be found and that the default style is being used? Of course when the track loads, I go to style favorites and select the C_W_Sty2 again and it plays???? Make any sense???

Sonny, I've seen that error before myself too, and never knew why it happens. Right now, I'm guessing that maybe that style is not stored in the same folder as the rest of them where BIAB is looking to find styles. But you can get it from your 'favorites' list because that will remember what folder it's actually in and go get it from there.

... but I could be all wrong about that; it's just a guess.

You may need to "rebuild" your Stylepicker listings.

Version 2011 but many others also:

Find the small "Style" button on the mid-high left side of the screen. (Where you Pick a Style).

You should get an info window that asks if you would like to "rebuild the stylepicker list?". Click yes and BIAB will find all your styles.

This should allow you to create and save a new song with the Style you want and remember it the next time it is loaded.

This rutine need to be done everytime you create or add new styles to your system (like an upgrade!).

Good luck, Bo

Copy and paste that style in your main BIAB directory, usually C:\BB, then do as Gary said. Rebuild your style list and that style should show up in the "Other Styles found" listing.

Style should now load with the song, instead of an error message.
