2011 steel guitar jam

Post by Philip Bender »

Aloha all,
It just occured to me that out of 212 hits on my thread concerning our Florida jam session in Feb, we should have at least 20 players signed up to play, but NOOOOO, just the regulars. Come on folks, lets make 2011 a bigg success.

Feb jam session

Post by Philip Bender »

Hello everyone,
Well I guess we had better cancel the jam session this year, and just call it quits. Thanks for your past support, but not enough players interested this year. We will just get together and pick a little on the 20th.

Phil, I was considering coming down, but I have too many things going in February.

Jan, Feb and March are very busy months for me.

Palmetto steel jam

Post by Philip Bender »

Aloha all,
Even though we are not having the formal Jam session, most of the locals will be here, and playing some place. The chili pot will be on, and maybe the Manasota house band, soooo if you are not too busy, come on down, one and all.

Hi Phil - you can plan on me being there. Got a new (to me) D-10 coming so I'll want to break that in and I'll see if I can talk Tom & Clyde into showing up ......you did offer food,...right. That'll probably clinch it for them.

Have a great Christmas and New Years' -- see ya in January.

Visit

Post by Philip Bender »

Hey Nick,
Sorry to hear that you will not be a part of our jam this year, but how's about coming down to our house some afternoon while you are here. Don Fullmer is here already, and my brother is here also, and plays good guitar, we could have a mini jam just for you.
Come for lunch, and some fun. Just let me know when.

Palmetto Jam session

Post by Philip Bender »

Twas`the`day before jammin and all through the park,
the people were stirrin, couldn't wait for the start
Of the session on Sunday with the music they loved.
And to be with their friends and The Lord up above.
We allways enjoy the time well spent,
Listening to the music, doesn't cost a cent.
So if you are waiting for something to push you,
We wont do that just know that we will miss you.
Come on down!!

Well we had just 10 pickers, but we had a good time, and a lot of hot Chili, and heard some hot music. Ivan Reddington came from Lakeland FL, and Lee from Orlando, and Don from Virginia. Will send some pics asap
