Zums Only
Really nice Marvin. Do you know who owns this Dodd guitar?
Both my Emmons are 8&9. Had a passing thought about splitting the RKR but did not know why.
Regards, Jay Thompson

I like the dual knee levers on the rkr
If I had it to do over again I would have that. Bruce talked me out of it and it is fine. But I use it a lot and really see the wisdom in Tommy's choice to have it built like that.

It's an amazing guitar!!! It sounds great and plays so smooth.
I'm proud to enter into the Zum owners' family!
Grazie Ferdinando, you're such a nice person to deal with....

I tell ya, I bought a one of a kind Zum, 8 levers, 5 pedals, I won't say who I bought it from out of respect of the previous owner.
All I can say is it's the best sounding and functional steel I've ever played. I'm in heaven!!!

Billy just wasn't playing any C6th and felt that it was a waste. He does have a very nice SD10 Zum that helps take away some of the pain of selling this one.
The guitar is an early model, made in 1980. The engineering is so good for the time, its no wonder that Mr Zumsteg is held in such high regard. Tonally it is very nice, but I still have to place my push-pull in front of it for tone.

Music hath the charm to soothe a savage beast, but I'd try a 10mm first.

I've finally solved (!!!) the age-old question: "Which sounds better, a black guitar or a white guitar?"
Black 2002 Zum U-12, 8 & 5, Trutone

Hilton pedal
Webb 614-e
Bruce and I are the only ones who know the answer...unfortunately, I have been sworn to secrecy!javascript:emoticon(':D')

great sounding zum!!!!
Billy has told me of the guitar's previous heritage. I hope to do it justice. It is in good condition for a 31 year old instrument.

Chinese women and red Zums
Chinese women prefer Zumsteels, particulary red ones, possibly because it's the color of their national flag. steve t
