Peavey Classic VTX 212; conversion to 15" subwoofer
Ok all of you Peavey as well as you electronic impedance experts. I have a Peavey VTX 212, the one with 2 inputs and the phaser effect. plays well with lead guitar, but with a big(pickup)pedal steel, it lacks a little bottom end with the 2 12" scorpions. I have hooked it to an extended cabinet with 15" woofers and found it cmoe alive. I wanted to put a 15" BW or equivalent inside but am up in the air as to how andwhat impedance should I use. My idea is to join the 4 wires together(remember this one has 2 12" scorpions 8ohms each)and run them thru a 4 ohm 15" BW. WHat say you experts?
Thanks
Thanks

This Link to the manual says you can drive a 2 ohm load safely. The main speaker jack is for a 4 ohm load, and you can add another 4 ohm load with the aux jack.

Thanks for the responses.I have had the same ideas as you all have suggested.
Also anyone ever experiment with this amp? It has 2 tubes.
What is the best tube to use? I am looking for that fat smooth (American Woman) type sound.
I believe these are the stock tubes installed now.
Thanks again.
