Fantastic band. Al Perkins sounds great on that old ZB. More cowbell, Greg Brady...
I know it's Joe Lala

Great stuff!
All that vintage gear!
That sound.
And the 70s halo. :whoa:
Blue screen matte keying still had a ways to go back then.
Thanks for posting the link.

Great video, thanks for posting that! Wasn't that Chris Hillman on rhythm guitar and harmony vocals? I had no idea that he'd ever played with Manassas.......JH in Va.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!

Hey Rick, Yes Joe Lala is a dead ringer for Greg Brady, I have this DVD a German Company put it out, I think Musicladen or something like thta. It is very good.

I also bought a Manassass outtake CD called 'Pieces', which is very good and has great liner notes about the history of the band.
Regards, Craig

Actually, I heard his house was burglarized a few years ago, and most were stolen.

the other album

'funny I just saw their other CD in a thrift store and almost got it.
Steve Stills was on a special on Martin guitars. He showed his favorite martin that had a very subtle buzz, but always "buzzed" in tune. He demonstrated it and it was so distinctive and recognizable (once he pointed it out). And he did have an impressive collection of guitars on that show.
