Ray, if you want I will bring some ground hamburger meat for the grill. The ground meat is in patties. It is deer meat from my farm, mixed with pork sausage. Let me know?

Sounds good Keith! Randy can cook it up and make it taste like KC Strips.

Jim, glad you can make it again this year. Looking forward to seeing you. Ray

Clark, this show takes place in Baxter Springs, Kansas. It about 15 miles west of Joplin, Missouri. Its a 3 day show with 44 steel players confirmed. The show is free along with the food. This will be our 8th year having it. We have 1 motel in town called the Baxter Inn4Less. ph.# 1-866-856-9820. We'll have probably 8-10 vendors here selling about anything you might need. Any other questions, feel free to call me or post on the forum here! Ray
P.S. the address is 11th & East Ave. Small town-easy to find.

Route "66" show

Post by Cliff Waterman »

Ray and crew. I regret that I will not be able to make the show this year due to having to be somewhere else out of state. I will miss seeing everyone and the incredible chili!!! Anyway, thanks for the invite and keep up the good work on a great show. Respectfully, Cliff

Well, it's not etched in stone yet, but I think I'm going to be able to be there Saturday. I have prior commitments for Friday and Sunday, but Saturday some friends and I are planning on being there. It will be good to be able to visit with old and new friends. And I met the ravenous Justice at the St. Louis thing earlier this month. It'll be good to watch him a little closer. I'm looking forward to it.

Hey Curt, I was going to put down steel guitar rag but Scotty plays it with a waltz beat and I didn't think you could handle it!

Well, as always, when you make plans in advance, things come along and change them. I have been asked to work a show in Indiana on Sunday and don't feel like I can be in Kansas on Saturday, then get there with any energy left. Sorry. I was looking forward to your show very much. I will get to it one of these days. Have a good time. Y'all know to keep an eye out for Justice where the food is concerned but I caution you, don't turn your back on Dobkins.
