Tim, Storm, you can make these quite easily yourselves
All you need is music wire, a drill and the right sized mandrel.

Try Chuck Back at Desert Rose Steel Guitars, I bought some from him a few months ago for a Sho Bud I was restoring.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.

I just twisted them up by hand, Bent, do they come out nicer with a drill? I had the most trouble with that short 90 degree bend and the last little loop on the end.Bent Romnes wrote:Tim, Storm, you can make these quite easily yourselves

A little imagination should be able to come up with something a lot simpler that will work just as well. And not cost $1.48 for just one.
The Folks at Mullen and Zum Have already done it its Called a Cotter pin or Key if your from the east..

Tim, I haven't tried making that one yet but I would make them on my drill (corded) and the right diameter rod chucked in it. Wind the main clip body, then leave a piece of wire long enough to get your bends, then wind two more revs to get the clip on end. It's trial and error. You will learn the exact length of wire needed.Tim Heidner wrote:I just twisted them up by hand, Bent, do they come out nicer with a drill? Maybe you can use something milder than spring wire(music wire)It will wind easier.
