Congrats...You scored a vintage Bud. Some people think, myself included, the best vintage of Sho-Buds. A first-generation, round front, barrels & 2 hole pullers, blonde with rope inlay ProII.
Let us know how it is when you get it.

...for sure i know what kind of guitar i've bought - cause i was searching a long time to find this particular one in good condition and blonde finish of course! (ha, ha)
my question was more about this sold item (maybe there is a pre owner here in the forum or someone who has seen it or knows the seller).
it's always an adventure if you blind buy an instrument and pay lots of dollars 10.000 miles away to someone you've never seen...

Guido,
Congratulations on your new Sho-Bud. Good score. You have a true classic there. I think you did the right thing by sending it to James Morehead. He's as honest as they get and will only give you the straight truth... good or bad.
I have a Rack and Barrel Sho-Bud that James went through years ago and although I heard the Rack and Barrels were problematic, it looks and plays great. Plus it stays in tune.
When James is done with it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how great it sounds and plays. BTW, he's a nice guru too! (just in case he reads this)

Guido, as fate would have it, I never saw spongebob because I don't own a tv, but I believe Gary Brandon was the player. On the other hand, the "sound" behind jigsaw, on the SAW series, came from yours truly.

Chas, in this clip starting at 32 seconds is a mysterious metallic sounding instrument changing pitch. Is it you on steel guitar?

I think Guido is referring to the actor/comedian/writer/voice artist Tom Kenney (sp?) not Gary Brandin.

Those old Sho-Buds sound great. When you advance, you'll want a new guitar.

Guido; wish I'd read this thread before I mailed your coated picks. I could have included a set of gold ones to match the Shobud. Hey! there's still time, I'll send 'em seperatly, told you I'd find a way,
. Happy pickin'. Andy H.
