Who is this Elliott kid? Someone we should know???
All seriousness aside, Ron is one of my favorite players. And I'm serious! He plays from his heart, and his hands follow. And it's always a pleasure to hug Leslie's neck. It looks to be another great show, and I'll be there with bells on.

Looks like I'm going to have to miss another one. I'm getting a total left hip replacement on 9 Aug. and will be in rehab. If every thing goes ok though I will make the Nov. show. Sure hate to miss seeing Ron and Leslie and hearing Ron play. Ron is one of my favorite artists.

Unfortunately for me and maybe lucky for those who can attend, I can't make the August show. We are booked heavily through Sept.
I really wanted to make this one because Ron Elliot is one of my hero's. His smooth playing style and wit make him one of the best.
Jerry & David please tell Ron I said hi to him & Ms.Leslie.

Hey friends,

Looks like another fun weekend in Saluda. Hate it, but I'm working Saturday night and I'll miss the jam. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday though.

See ya there,
Jim

I just reread my earlier post, and I thought I should clear something up. First off, I don't hate that I'm working, and second, I don't hate the band I'm working with on Saturday night. In fact, they are alot of fun, and play mostly the kind of stuff I really like. I just hate the date falls on the same night as the Saluda jam. Well, I hope that clears it all up. If nothing else, at least it bumps this up to the top.

See ya there,
Jim

A Moment of Seriousness

Post by Jerry Roller »

Please let me speak in complete seriousness. I would appreciate very much if you guys would arrange to have some fresh mashed strawberries over bisquits for my friend Ron Elliot and if you would please tell him that I arranged for him to have this treat. I know you guys can make this happen and you have no idea how happy this will make ol' Ron and when ol' Ron is happy he is some kind of great steel guitar player!
Thanks,
Jerry

Won't be able to make this one. Im playing in Valdosta the 13th, 14th and 15th. But I sure would love to be there! Don't let the Moore guy show out. He can get wild on stage sometimes.

Saluda

Post by Herby Wallace »

I am looking forward to this show again and hope to see many of you there as I have some new products too. I also was checking to see if anyone will be camping there this Saturday night. I don't like to set up and leave my equipment all night except when someone is staying there.

Thanks,

Herby Wallace
