Junior Knight's last show performance

Post by Lynette Richards »

It has been said that Junior will no longer be playing the steel guitar shows. St. Louis was his last show. I would like to take this time to honor Junior and to let him know that his career in the steel guitar show circuit will be dearly missed. I have always enjoyed anything Junior has ever played or attempted to play at least. He has always been a very humble, generous man and he is liked by many. I want you to know Junior, you are a true inspiration to many, and your playing will be greatly missed.

What was your greatest Junior moment?

Maybe with enough response he will consider doing shows again.

I hope it's not true - the only time I get to meet him is at steel shows and he always finds the time to talk to you - I'm sure he meets so many people that it would be hard to remember them all, but he always acts like he remembers you and is a joy to see him and watch him play ........

Junior is a dear friend of many years who has greatly contributed not only to steel guitar, but to the happiness of others as well.

I know him as a man of his word, respect his decision, and say thank you Junior for your contributions and a job well done.

Well I don't belong in this crowd but I will always remember Junior doing a class at Tulsa on "Intros". My favorite part and the part I learned most from he called "Sears and Roebuck Intros" makes perfectly good sense. Now I can give you a Sears and Roebuck intro in any key!! Thanks Junior.

I think this belongs on Steel Players, so I'm moving it.

Thank you Junior for all you've done.
