E13 / western swing instruction?

Post by DWolf »

Hello again steelers-
Are there any sources of instructional tapes for the E13 tuning popularized by Leon Macaulliffe? I'm thinking of buying the Cindy Cashdollar video for A6 and C something or other, but I would really love to find some material on the E13 tuning.
Does anyone have any info?
Thanks,
DWolf

Scotty's Music has a book by Don Helms that looks pretty interesting. He has some other stuff by Little Roy Wiggins, a cassette and tab book. Otherwise I don't see any videos for E13th tuning.

I have both the Helms and Wiggins books and they are both good. But they are for a different tuning than Leon's. They both used #G E C# B #G E D B I believe Leon used E #C B #G #F D #G E I would also be interested in any tabs in this tuning if they're available.

you might get some info from John Ely, I've told he uses the same E13th.
Its too bad they/we can't at least have one name for one tuning.
