Telonics Volume pedal

Post by Bobby Bowman »

Many cudo's to Dave for the newest and best volume pedal on the market, in MHO,,,The Telonics Volume pedal!
I played it for the first time on a gig this weekend and man, what an eye opening event it was,,,, everything and more that I've wanted in a V pedal for all these years,,,smooth as combed silk and yet as responsive with the perfect feel under your foot as anything could be. It's adjustable beyond your wildest dreams. However, I just hooked mine up as it came from the factory and am totally and completely happy with it as it is.
Perhaps one of these days I'll experiment with all it can do, but for now I'm a very happy camper.
Dang,,,,it's way, way better than good.
BB :D , :o and :D
If you play 'em, play 'em good!
If you build 'em, build 'em good!

I couldn't agree more. It's the best pedal out there. You won't find better customer service than you get from Dave Beaty at Telonics. They're constantly striving to improve on what they already have, which is great as it is.

I bought 2 in Dallas and have given them a fair old workout since I got home, I have played a lot of different gigs, shows and concerts in all manner of venues and that pedal has sounded outstanding on ever occasion... and with all the adjustment and taper options you can't help but find the perfect feel to suit your own tastes.

Best new piece of kit that has come along in a long time - kudos to Dave Beaty and his team!
They are now available in a whole different range of colours -- I got the Chrome ones myself ! :D

Add me to the list of happy owners. Just got one and it's amazing! Smooth and glitch-less, it makes the steel seem to sustain forever, particularly on the #6 taper, which has an additional 6db or boost at the end of the pedal travel. I may save one old Emmons v.p. as a spare (in case someone trips over the Telonics power cord and breaks it) but I may have an upcoming sale on my Emmons and Goodrich pedals.

I couldn't agree more with everything that's been said

Post by David Hartley »

It is hard to believe that something we have all been using for years can be that much improved on with one new product. The amp and pre1000 are something else too.

I am using taper 5 just lately, impedance control fully clockwise too. Taper 2 is also nice. I haven't actually read the paperwork and don't know which pedal behaviour these 2 tapers emulate. I have the minimum off control ( I think it's called ) set so there's a tiny bit of volume with the pedal fully up.

My Country Boy video was recorded using 2 leads, No EQ whatsoever, and just the shobud into the Telonics pedal and that's it. A small amount of reverb is ALL that was added.

I can only echo what has previously been said. Truly, this is the best volume pedal ever made. On a scale of 1 to 10, this is a 25.

Telonics

Post by john widgren »

I have a passive high quality volume pedal with an Allen Bradley NOS milspec pot made in USA in Wisconsin. Argue-ably the "holy grail" of the finest pots ever made for steel guitar applications. It's fantastic, and I love it, no complaints, and I consider myself lucky to have a secret stash of a few of these pots.

My Telonics pedal is very simply...BETTER! Hands down.

Telonics Pedal

Post by Darrell Owens »

Please add my name to the list of Happy Telonics Pedal Users. Just got mine today, and it is amazing. It actually "feels" like the pedal isn't even there. I would call it a "CYBER-PEDAL" because it is so smooth, you don't feel it at all. The response is immediate and there is no "drag" in the pedal to slow you down.

Thanks for "getting it right"

If you're serious about your Volume Pedal---Try the Telonics

Post by Carl Williams »

DITTO on what has been said of the Telonics pedal! The pedal's variable tapers sllows you to get the "feel" you're most comfortable with. No more worries about strings breaking, scratchy pots, etc. More money yes---MORE quality and technology for expansion, you bet! I bought my pedal almost a year ago now and doing business with John was super! I still have my original Sho-Bud pedal I bought from Ben Jack in 1974 and it's a backup just in case...I thought it might be hard to leave the Sho-Bud but it wasn't a problem. Thanks again for the great service John...Carl
