Hello all. Buddy & Kay Lee have asked us to update you on Buddy’s condition.
I am happy to say that Buddy has been feeling very well since cessation of the chemotherapy last year. A PET scan in January revealed that two of the tumors in one of his lungs are active again and therefore Buddy has begun another round of chemo and radiation therapy. His first treatment for the year was on March 18 and will be ongoing for the next six weeks. So far, he is tolerating it quite well.
Buddy has never really stopped teaching and we are continuing to schedule lessons with him. Attached is a photo taken today with Kathleen Sullivan, one of his long time students.
Buddy & Kay Lee and Billy and I sure appreciate all your prayers. Do continue, please!
My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Buddy, Always one of my FAVORITE pickers, Was listening to his [Almost to Tulsa] record just yesterday. Think Leon Rhodes is on guitar with him. Don't think it could get any better than that. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.

My prayers are with Buddy. I'm a colon cancer survivor (3 years) and have been through surgery and chemo, and it ain't fun.
We were talking about Buddy last night at our gig. I did the "Texas Troubadour" version of Panhandle Rag, copied from how Buddy and Leon did it on the Troubadour record. Our Bass player, Bernie Waldon, said he used that as his theme song when he was a DJ in Cincinatti and Indianapolis.

No problem, Buddy has been teaching for more than 35 years and I am sure has heard it all in that time. Falls Gulch to Orange isn't that far and it'll be worth your time and effort--just do it!!
