Jim, yeah, put me down for: 1 hour private lesson with Reece; the 4-hour class with Reece; and the steel show and drunken orgy the next night. : )

I could use a reco for a reasonably priced nearby motel, too.

Thanks, Jim!

OK John I've got you down. We've worked a deal with Best Western Marty's Valley Inn 3240 East Mission Avenue, Oceanside (760)757-7700. I spoke with the manager (Oscar)and he offered a for single for $61 and a double for $71. You have to mention it's for Steel Guitars of North County to get the deal.

Hello everyone! Just a reminder to not to miss Maurice’s class on 15th. He is a true Master and you will walk away with a wealth of knowledge, excitement, desire, and drive to learn more and more. It is a true pleasure to be able to have him come out here to California for this. He doesn’t get out here that often so definitely take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from one of the great Masters! ............Plus to see and hear and meet a true master Jay Dee........I'll be there carring Maurices and Jay Dee's equipment and working Security.............Just remember my motto is.....Don't start none.........There won't be none !!!!!!so be sure and come support this Event...................................................................

OK- the classes with Maurice are now closed. As a matter of fact- we had so many that we had to add a 2nd class to be conducted on Thurs the 14th and the attendees of that class have been notified. The show is on for the evening of the Grand Opening on the following Saturday - April 16th) from 7-10 and is filling up quickly so those of you who would still like to attend please let me know @ stlgitr@sbcglobal.net . Thanks again for all of the interest.. Jim

David, Reece, and Jay Dee will be performing in the conference room at Marty's Valley Inn (info above) on Sat nite, April 16th from 7-10PM for those of you wanting to attend just the concert. Again the cost is $20 and the proceeds go entirely to the musicians and the hotel as this is strictly a labor of love for me.

Rick....you better be there cause I'm depending on you to play with me on the show and keep me between the musical "guard rails". Also plan on singing some with me.

Those who have not heard this phenomenal musican are in for a treat. He should be playing steel and I should be playing bass, or better yet, sitting in the front row listening to him.

Reece....youre WAY too kind! I can't wait to try and tear down a couple "guard rails" with you at Jim's show. This is truly a great honor for me!!!!!

As far as all those nice things you said about me...I just wanna say that I've become painfully more aware every day about the loose ends in my overall grasp of the steel guitar. I can't wait to try and soak up some of your deep wisdom on your visit to the left coast.

Can't wait....

Rick

Jim -

By the responses you are getting for the show and lessons you might think about moving this whole event to Qualcomm stadium. Image

BTW, you did put me down for the show didn't you? Image

True- Rick can be a one-man show. Great to have him there playing in the band. I have you down for the concert, Jim- how many are you bringing? The conference room is plenty big for all who want to attend. Thanks for the words of encouragment Geoff- wish you were here, too- but there's enough water between us to maybe even give Jack LaLane a bit of a go!

I have sent confirmation e-mails to those indicating that they would like to attend Reece's class and the following concert with Reece, Jay Dee, and David. If you did not receive an e-mail from me and wish to attend the concert on Saturday, April 16th (the classes are now full), please let me know and we'll make arrangements for your attendance. Thanks-
