My wife Theresa came down with it Friday. She was feeling extremely ill and spent most of Saturday in the hotel room. She's still sick from it. She had felt great when we arrived Thursday.
I know of three others who were also sickened by the Bug.

I didn't have it like everyone else's account, but I've been feeling miserable since yesterday morning. I will take some responsibility for that, as I hit it pretty hard, but my stomach has not felt right since then.
I hope everyone is OK.

It is not food poisioning. It has been spreading all around south Texas and many other states as well. It put me down for a week. I have an ER full of patients and staff off work. Most likely the same bug found on cruise ships. Hope you all feel better! It is the reason I did not get to Dallas.

I'm so sorry to hear about all the sickness at the show. I don't know how I avoided it but I felt great all weekend. I did have someone elses puke come up through my sink, and I had to move rooms at around 2am saturday morning. This was a minor inconvenience compared to those who sacrificed their whole weekend worshipping the porcelain altar. The hotel was pretty hush hush about it all. I asked the employees a few questions and they clammed right up. Said they heard nothing about it. Hard to believe. But did you see the maids going around wiping everything down?
Once again, my condolances to those who were sick. It must have been awful.

True, Jim! Well the smell of it still makes want to urge. They wouldn't tell me how or why it happened when I asked about it the next day, only that "it is now fixed, sir."

Ya, its a bit bizarre to have that many people simultaneously pick up a bug. I talked to several who were sick after eating on the 12th floor. Sounds like food poisoning to me as well. I avoided the hotel food as soon as I got wind of people being sick all at the same time. I ate there last night, thinking that whatever went wrong had been fixed. This typ of thing is very scary, especially for someone like me coming from another country and potentially being hospitalized. I feel very lucky to not have contracted it. Once again, my sympathies to those whose weekend was blown out by it.

Your premier wasn't skeert.. . . very scary, especially for someone like me coming from another country and potentially being hospitalized.
Oh, the bill. Yes, that could've been frightening. Fortunately, a metabolism tempered by poutine isn't likely to be fazed by the sludge at Denny's.. . . very scary . . .
(Always pass on the medium-raw chicken sandwiches with sun-cured mayonnaise.)
The vomitus suite sounds sweet. Hope they're comping you next time and that the sights and smells will be as good as the music.

Well I don't know if it was food poisoning in this case or not, but I've had food poisoning. Trade show, 1995 or so, in Vegas. We had a big company meeting. It was catered by the hotel. Everybody got sick, most the next day, but one poor sole didn't get hit until he was flying home in major turbulence.
Ahh...Vegas.

I'm sure it was food poisoning. I was lucky enough to avoid it, but I pretty much stuck to salads and a burger or two. The buffet looked very suspicious to me.
Jim, were you there? I didn't see you!

Wow, Jeff....I'm impressed at your knowledge of Newfoundland current events! And thanks for the tip on a potential freebie. I think I'll call and kick up a fuss.Jeff Evans wrote:Your premier wasn't skeert.. . . very scary, especially for someone like me coming from another country and potentially being hospitalized.
