Loretta Lynn's previous Coal Miners' Reunion is scheduled to be on the Record Shop, Jan 9. Dave Thornhill,Dennis Digby, Bob Hempker, John Brown, Mike Caldwell, Zeke Dawson, Buddy Speicher, Sonny Wright and Peggy Sue, Randy Burnette, Leona Williams. Amber Digby is going to host it.I've probably forgotten someone, but it should be a really good time.

John, by L.G. are you referring to Lonnie Godfrey? Lonnie, and/or anyone else who has been affiliated with LL is welcome to come, hang out, or whatever. I'd like to see Lonnie, or anyone else who we've worked with down through the years. The folks who are presently working with her are welcome, too. We just want to have a good time, and possibly play a little music in the process. We're not out to slight or offend anyone. Bill, that's a nice idea, but you get into Union Rules and all that sort of red tape when you record people.

Hey Bob,

I'm sure you're gonna have a great time. A couple years ago, we had a "Good Time Charlies" renunion and we had a ball. Couldn't get as many of the old guys together as we would have liked, but we had a great time anyway. I met alot of you guys at the Opry and when I worked with Reggie and Jimmy at United Talent. I hope you have a big turnout.

Clyde, Jerry, Lonnie, or anyone wanting to come, we would love to see you and visit. Clyde, are you still building guitars? I can't believe all these years have passed.

Bob,

I've been seeing you and Thornhill, and the cop (he's my wife buddy), every year at this same time and same place. I'll probably see you again this year, but you'll have to work this time, instead of watching and eating popcorn. I look forward to the good music you guys will play. :)

Nick - are we going?

Mr. Hempker,

Did you ever work with a fellow named
Tab Hawkins from Dyersburg, Tennessee?
I grew up knowing him and the fact that
he was somehow affiliated with Loretta
Lynn and/or the Dude Ranch.

Thanks,
Tay

Tay, I don't know the guy you're talking about. He may have worked at the Dude Ranch. I didn't know many people that worked down there. Bob, Ken said he was going to try to come. The weather plays such a factor this time of year, plus I guess he'd have to get a sub for the show he does every Sat in Portsmouth, Oh.

I just got home from the show. 5:00 AM. Well worth the drive to see this great music. Plenty of steel players in the crowd, Smiley Roberts, Nick Reed, Jay Andrews, Randy Lindley, and got to meet Lynn Owsley for the first time. Bob Hempker was super as was the entire band and of course Amber Digby. Got to see some old friends and make some new ones. A good night all the way around. :)

Lynn - I love that black leather overcoat. :)

Was Just Trading some emails with Bob and We Both agree that The ET Record Shop has had 3 band reunions and they all have been great shows.

They need to do this more before all these great pickers are gone. These guys have dedicated their lives and careers to Country Artists and need to be recognized for the great contributions they have made.

Last night should be proof enough that these guys can still pick. Bob was Great on Steel and Dave same on Guitar, They haven't lost anything over the years except for their Youth.

I was able to stream the show live over the internet. The band hasn't lost a thing, and the steel work was outstanding! Bob, you are STILL the player I want to grow up to be.
