Big Country Stars from Northern States.

Post by Rick Campbell »

A response in another thread got my curiousity aroused. Can you name some big country stars that came from the northern USA. Ann Murry came from Canada, but I'm talking USA. Here's your chance to show off your knowledge of country music.

Yep, Dick Curless "Tombstone Every Mile" Dick may be the winner.

How many people on the current country charts do you think ever heard of Dick Curless?

I remember back in 1971 I heard a song called 'Pitty Pitty Patter' (which I hated, by the way) on the radio. I believe it was recorded by Susan Raye, who was from Oregon (Portland, I think). I think she was discovered by Buck Owens.

I think Don Rich came from the same neck of the woods too.
