Hi, Jim ... I just saw the survey and did it. I based my answers on my current status having just gotten back into steel after a long layoff from it (rather than what my answers would have been back when I was actively playing). Good luck with it.
1986 Mullen D-10 with 8 & 7 (Dual Bill Lawrence 705 pickups each neck)
Two Peavey Nashville 400 Amps (with a Session 500 in reserve) - Yamaha SPX-90 II
Peavey ProFex II - Yamaha R-1000 Digital Reverb - Ross Time Machine Digital Delay - BBE Sonic Maximizer 422A
ProCo RAT R2DU Dual Distortion - Korg DT-1 Pro Tuner (Rack Mounted) - Furman PL-8 Power Bay
Goodrich Match-Bro by Buddy Emmons - BJS Steel Bar (Dunlop Finger Picks / Golden Gate Thumb Picks)

Another suggestion would be to break down the age question to see how many of each age participated. The average is good and we also get real curious about the individual ages of players.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro (D tuning), Recording King Professional Dobro (G tuning), NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .
Playing for 55 years and still counting.

Hey Jim!
Didn't find the question on how much liquor i drink and what kind! Crown and ginger ale!
Seems from the survey we all are over 50, play a couple times a month, practice a good bit, mostly play Emmons and play country with a some western swing! Is that "Real country" or the pop rock they play these days?
I think you've helped me figure out why i've been through two divorces and why my wife stays mad!
She said "Steel or me" Man i miss her!
Coooool!!!

Kenny made a great point. No questions on liquor, drugs, women (or men for the ladies), how many times a night you screw up a lick by looking at the opposite sex on the dance floor, etc. These are the real meat and potato questions. As they say, "Inquiring minds want to know".
Of course I am just kidding.
This was fun and informational. It would be nice if all 8000+ members took the time to take it so we can have an absolute outcome.
