Who is this steel player?

Post by Rickey Mitchell »

Any body know who he is? It might be a young David Lindley, but I wouldn't swear to it.
Duh. sorry about that.

If I would have known about this group back in the day,
they would've been one of my favorite groups, mine and a few million other people as well. Very sad story. http://www.themisunderstood.com/band.html

...GRC get's such little love in our steel community. A true pioneer in going outside of the box and exploring other realms of the steel in a rock context. And he's still kickin'!
Good to seem him mentioned by someone other than myself.

Just as a matter of interest, Glenn now lives out here in NZ - Auckland to be exact ! Not sure if he plays much these days though.

I emailed him recently. Sounds like he's real busy with a day job but is looking for a Stringmaster like the one in the video. He talked about a session he did in the states a couple years ago for a friend.

He sent me the Juicy Lucy link I posted. I want to see more from the Days of the Misunderstood but I don't think any footage exists!

Here's a link to a band he is currently playing with:

There's also a Facebook page with info and pics but no music. My computer is outdated and won't let me hear or see pics on myspace! :(
