Junior said the idea of the guitsteel came to him in a dream, and for many years, he'd been switching off from guitar and steel, and he had a dream that the guitar and steel would work together and he woke up and decided it would work, so Junior called Michael Stevens and the guitsteel was born. Junior actually has a Bigsby pedal steel too, and I hope this new pedal guitsteel will be in videos soon.

What's that in your Avatar pic? That wouldn't be some kind of instrument with TWO NECKS???????Alan Brookes wrote: I've never seen the point of instruments with two necks, like all those monstrosities with a mandolin and guitar combined, or a 6-string and 12-string guitar combined, or a guitar and bass combined; I would never buy one of those.

What Jr. gains is identity. How many of you would not have even known who the guy in the picture with Mike Stevens was if it hadn't been for the odd contraption they seemed so interested in? It serves the same purpose as his suit and hat. They all go together. It is hard to recognize him with either one without the other.

Junior Brown invented the GuitSteel concept and then went ahead and perfected it. Now with the addition of pedals, his act will be outa sight. My guess is that he'll immediately record an album with it, and, again, the "country" radio stations won't play the damned thing.
It's a travesty on the country music scene when true talent can't even get to first base because they're just plain "too country"...at least for the bunch on Wall Street.
Keep on keepin' on, Junior. We "real" country fans love it.

I also agree WHAT IS TOO COUNTRY ??????????????
they mean Back to Country
(I left out a couple)
Conway had a hold on "HELLO DARLIN'"
and Johnny Cash had a patent on "Hi, I'M Johnny Cash" - Vince Gil said so and I believe it.

Duane Eddy used a regular archtop guitar, with standard strings, and downtuned it by half an octave. At the time, the only effects available were tape echo and tube amp tremolo. To get his sound I use 50 yr. old equipment. You can probably replicate this with modern equipment, but I'm an old duffer and completely out-of-date with what's currently available.
