Hummmmm, I opened the puzzle and all I saw was a black and white quilt. See, Colm - I'm covering for ya!

Donna thanks for "sewing" up this "thread". Jim must feel he has a "blanket" license to assign difficult homework problems. With Febuary being a punky little month, I feel a little "short-sheeted". I'll be "tossing and turning" all night long until I solve this one. Well thats all the "pillow talk" I can think of for now.

Now Colm - My last name wouldn’t be DODD if I were to casually toss around answers to Jim’s puzzle as if the prize were nothing more than a cheap plastic Barbi DODD – oops, I mean DOLL. Jim would call his DODDS – oops, I mean DOGS on me. Thank DODD - oops, I mean GOD that you’re not the kind that would even think about cheating. I’d wager a DODDAR – oops, I mean DOLLAR that you don’t even know the answer to 98 down. If you do, please hide it in a message in the humor section. Use the word in one of those Chinese Proverb posts. And while you’re at it – give me 1-Down, too.Donna, I need a clue for 65 across
Thanks Colm-

Confuscious think Buana Jim warn that looking over shoulder at answers is a Capital Offense....therefore, no Peking.
But maybe I offer clue: One down is a four letter word not found in dictionary. Once one down, more to go. Completing puzzle must be a sustained effort.
Hope this helps

Jim, I'd like to trade Puzzle #4 for Puzzle #2, please.

Yup, Steve, I got yours too.
Just to head off any further queries as to whether I've received "your" submission, here are the initials of those whose solutions I've received for Feb. (plus a few email addresses if I don't know your full name):
C.C.
B.F.
D.W.
D.D.(Yes, D.D., yours was the one where you entered your own name not just twice but 5 or 6 times, including being the latest member of the steel guitar Hall of Fame; oh, well, I guess it all went to your head, huh?)

R.B.
J.F.
1doghouse
S.H. (that's you Steve!)
steelin'@klompy
W.M.
J.V.
So, y'all have a 1 in 11 chance of winning this month! (if everyone submitted the right answer, which is not the case, so if you did, your chance is even greater)
Any further questions, please email me directly at jim@jimcohen.com
And for those of you who haven't submitted a solution yet, well... you're lucky it's Leap Year!
[This message was edited by Jim Cohen on 28 February 2004 at 10:48 PM.]
