E9th neck should be 11 strings.

This is why I switched to a U-12. And rumbling low string? I never seemed to have that problem. I don't cover all the strings, all the time, with my bar. Next 10 string I set up will have the D on a pull, as it is on my Kline Uni.

"You've got to have eleven."
"OK, I guess I can get rid of one."
... reminds me of an old joke.

I'm finding I prefer a 10-string E9 on session work (there IS more noise from the lowest 2 strings of my E9 extended, and the attention to keeping them muted detracts from my playing); but definitely prefer a full 12-string E9 for club work, those low rhythm chords are great.

Brad,
I had it set up to raise to "F" and lower to "D#", but, I never really used that way. So, I took those changes off and just used it for a "power" chord. It is also great for that "Memphis" lick or the "Six Days on the Road" lick. It adds another dimension.

As you know, they didn't have harps in David's day. What he would have played would have been a lyre, but it got translated as a harp.

I guarantee he didn't have a pick-up on it and use an amplifier.
