Ever Tire Of Talking To Oneself ?

Definitely a time to make whatever changes necessary, to correct an annoyance second to none.

I only tire of it when I discover that I've been talking over my own head...

It's when I start to ignore myself that I start to worry.

Jim,

You've been talking to different parties for days, and suddenly you realize that they didn't hear one word that was spoken. IT CAN HAPPEN!

I believe you, Bill. It's similar to reading thread after thread and suddenly realizing that you didn't understand one word that was written. Right? ;)

Nope - 'cause it makes for truly stimulating conversation without having to contend with dissenting opinions. We - me and myself - are both right-----------------------even if we're wrong.

But we're not. Ever. I think.

(Hope my shrink doesn't read this.)

talking to me, myself and I

Post by Tamara James »

Some of the best conversations I have ever had. Until the arguments start. I hate to argue. Kind of pointless when you know what the other person is gonna say. The good thing is, we seem to be interested in the same subjects!

Talking to one's self?

Post by Ray Montee (RIP) »

I keep hearing those voices..........

They're saying things that don't interest me.

It can be a very embarrassing habit if you don't catch yourself while in public.

Les,

I think you'd know the blatant disregard that I'm trying to "get" across. It's like my lips are moving, and no sounds are coming out.

Tony,

I can't decide which of the two are the most blatant. Mechanical junk that doesn't work properly, or habitually teaming with ignorance.

voices

Post by Rick Winfield »

I'm constantly talking to myself because when I stop, the "voices" start talking to me ! "No, no, right hand high, arm close, the full side of the pick"

There's gotta be a reason we were created with two ears and one mouth - maybe listening more is one way to deal with it....

Rick,

Have you ever spoke to a person who you mistook for deafness? You can be looking straight at the person, but he refuses to focus on what you are saying. Some can even block you out entirely, while engaging in some other activity.

Rick,

You're as sharp as a tack today. With that much insight, I know you'd be one of the first to notice when you are wasting your breath, 'cause your words are wasted on deaf ears. Is it really worth it to find yourself clamoring for attention. I THINK NOT!

Stu,

I once heard of a portrayal of a lady with 15 personalities. Count yourself lucky with just two. Manifestations of regressions of any sort at a ripe old age thwarts the promise of the golden years.

For me: Mechanical junk that doesn't work properly

For the rest of the world: habitually teaming with ignorance
