Anybody else going to Paisley's gig in ATL?
I really apologize if this is not the right place to post this. I had a hard time deciding where, but it didn't seem directly related to pedal steel so this seemed the closest fit.
I was just wondering if anyone else from this board might be going to see Brad Paisley tomorrow night at Cowboys in Atlanta (Kennesaw). If so, maybe we could meet up. I know for the guitar message board that I help out on, some of us like to meet up at shows that we know fellow board members are going to be attending.
This is probably too short-notice, but hey, it's worth a shot.

Hi Cris
The steel player at Cowboys in Kennesaw is one of my closest friends. When you get there tell him you got mail from Charlie Vaughn and introduce yourself. He is a super nice guy and he will introduce you to Randall Curry, steel player for Brad Paisley. Maybe take you back stage. I have a gig and won't get to be there. Look forward to meeting you sometime.

Wow, are you serious!? That would be fantastic! I was really hoping to get Randle to autograph my copy of Mud on the Tires. He's definitely one of my PSG heroes. It would be great to meet this friend of yours, too, and talk pedal steel with him. Could I possibly get his name, so I don't have to say "Hey, you!...No, not you, the guy sitting behind you... Yes, the pedal steel player."
I'm sad to hear you won't be able to make it out to see the show tonight, but I am glad to hear that it's because you've got a gig of your own. I promise to enjoy the show twice as much on your behalf, though
Really, thanks again.

Hi Chris,
The steel player at Cowboys is Tim Hamilton. Sorry I forgot to mention his name. I was in a hurry. I hope things worked out so you could meet Tim and Randall. Wayne is a fine picker amd close friend. Thanks Wayne, hope to see you soon.
[This message was edited by Charlie Vaughn on 22 November 2003 at 06:02 AM.]

Wayne and Charlie, thanks a lot for your help! Unfortunately I have some bad news: I wasn't able to meet Jim. I had to go around asking several Cowboys staff members before coming upon one of them who would tell me where I might find him, and he replied "I'm sorry, but he's probably backstage, and you can't go there." Phooey, although it was last-minute timing. You guys are right, though, Jim's a fine player. I was right in front of him, at the front of the stage, and it was enjoyable to see. Still, it would have been nice to chat with him.
I do have some good news, though...
