The Brothers Nelson - Garden Party (Ricky N's 3 Sons)

Post by Jim Cohen »

Stumbled across this tonight and really enjoyed watching and hearing it. Ricky Nelson's 3 sons singing one of their Dad's best songs. Touching.

Thats from a dvd tribute thing for rick that came out a few years ago.i think the kids put it together. shows him doing songs from the old show. interviews with the kids, james burton and others. the youngest kid looks and sounds just like him. this is a must have dvd for any rick fan.

Thanks Jim for the post. Gadzooks! Those kids sound exactly like their dad, and look like him too!
Here's another clip from a Las Vegas show with Skunk Baxter playing steel.

Mr.Ivey...such negativity :whoa:

The line in the song says :-

"You can`t please everyone"

That is patently OBVIOUS :\

so if it`s all the same to you the rest of us will take the next line :_

"So you`ve got to please yourself"

Here`s a quarter....go buy yourself a pound of positivity

Personally, I choose to look at this as three sons paying homage to their father. In that context, think it's a beautiful thing.

geez...sorry for living...

we've known about these kids for years...if they're serious about a professional career (which obviously they've been aiming at) i'm sorry for rick's sake at the shallowness of their performance.

Being a big Ricky fan I have always wanted the twins to break out and make there way, but they never did. Sam is pretty kool, he has the Ricky look and vibe, it's not too late for the three of them to "break out" together. I hope they can find some lasting success together even if nothing else, singing Ricky songs ! This was a nice video.

Rock on Ricky !
