Ronald "Fritz" Brading passed away last week. His funeral was Saturday morning. He was a mighty fine picker, and a fantastic person. They played his music that he recorded at the funeral. |

Fritz was a super nice guy and a Super guitar player. He ran a small recording studio in Springfield Illinois in the early 70's where a group of us guys used to back Cowboy Billy Brown for a recorded radio show for an FM station that played country music. WFMB I think. Fritz and I played a jam at the Blue Moon in Springfield one time and we played the theme from love story. As he played, he told me every chord, as I was unfamiliar with the song.
I lost track of Fritz. Where did he die and where is he buried? The last I heard he was in the Centralia or Mt. Vernon area. |

Lyle,
He moved to Normal, IL a few years back, and taught music at one of the local music stores. His funeral was in Bloomington and he was buried at Funks Grove cemetery.
It always amazed me how he could talk and visit while he played and not mis a note, even on a complex song. I
have many good memories of Fritz.
