I understand Garland Nash is going to try and make the show. Sure hope so. Just you wait till you meet my old buddy Autry Rutledge, and Dusty Harrell. These two guys burn the strangs off a guitar. Dusty plays all them pretty 8 fingered chords. Thats the kind that I'd need 8 fingers to make.

And of course you know if Roy Rosetta is on the stage, along with Paul Polish on drums, Jay Newsome on bass, like I said before, there is a bunch of wires and skins being burnt up. We are really looking forward to a great time and a fantastic show. Thanks fer the bump.

And a big ole up for me.

Hey Mike !!!
Talked to BA yesterday and he said he ran into Hughey at a show and had a great time. He also told me he was gonna do everything in his power to get down for the show. Ole John told him to get himself down here cuz we was-a gonna have the time of our lives.

Told Ba to come on down 2 weeks ahead, I'd put him up in the barn till show time.

Still counting-----------Ben

Hey All

I was fortunate enough to have a couple of fantastic pickers drop by the studio Thursday and they announced plans to attend the show. One of these being a AAAA+++++AAAAA
fiddle player, and the other is Roy Rosetta's relief guy. As we all know, Brother Roy is a, dedicated, 10 to 10 man and never wants a break. They are chomping at the bit to get to play with all the great musicianers (just made that word up, ain't it cool)that are scheduled on the show.
Man, I can hardly wait to hear all this good stuff start happening. There's gonna be so much foot stomping, on the 26th, it's gonna register 9.2 on the scale. Folks that live near by will think they done moved to shakey.

Thanks for the bump Mike and Ya'll brang it on.---Ben

I think it is just great to have Roy and the ole Steel Doctor, Hugh Jefferies in the same building at one time. These two were and still are our heroes playing steel guitar. In Hugh's case not only on steel but anything with strings. And Roy is just fabulous! The adjective "ole" is just a figure of speech since most of us, including "ole" Ben is in the same catagory. Hey Ben
Hope to be in Mobile a day early. Maybe we all can get together some where and jam, or at least visit. I really want to see that new recording studio of yours down there in Chickasaw, Al. I've been hearing some good things coming out of there.

Hey Barn and Mike

It's really gettin close now, and I am busy as a cat covering on a concrete floor.

Herby emailed me and informed me that Brother Ben Brogden is coming down with him. Tell ya'll the truth, I don't know if the ole ticker can stand what we are gonna hear on the 26th. We just talked to the good folks over at the Tillman's Corner Chamber, and told them to make sure they have the cow pasture grass cut and to have all the golf carts there to transport the folks from the pasture. We already know that the parking lots will be full and we are gonna need the pasture to park. LOOOOOOKING GOOD !!!!
See Ya'll Friday Mike. We will all get together at the Barnhill Rest. right down the street from the Travel Lodge around 6:00. Then on to the hall to set up. Ya'll be careful now.----------Ben

Yeah Mike.
Just got off the phone with Doug Jernigan. He won't be here till Saturday Morn, cause he is booked at the Farmers Opry Friday night, over in Florida. I sure hope I have some help nudging Paul Polish and Roy Rosetta away from that strawberry pie Firday nite at Barnhills. They sneaky. One of them gets your attention while the other blazes a trail. See you Friday. Tighten the thumb screws on ole B.A. This on is gonna be a killer !!!!!!!! Later ----Ben
